The Nuts & Bolts-QuickBooks Desktop for Your Small Church or Nonprofit

No Nightmare, No Stress. Just Step-By-Step Instructions on Setting Up and Using QuickBooks Desktop

You CAN set up the accounting system for your small nonprofit or house of worship with no prior experience. You CAN learn how to make QuickBooks work for your programs, funds, and donors. You CAN learn the tricks to spend less time with the bookkeeping and more time on your mission.

Are you the new church treasurer? Or the pastor who wants to understand where the church stands financially? Or, perhaps, an assistant or volunteer who has been asked to get the financial systems in place? Don't worry, The Accountant Beside You, Lisa London CPA, will guide you each step of the way.

Learn how to:

Track grants, program income, membership dues, and related expenses.

Send donor acknowledgments and pledge statements throughout the year.

Design financial statements your governing board can use for long term planning.

Budget your year so you know if you have money for new projects.

and so much more.

The classes are broken into small, bit-sized pieces that are well labeled, so you can reference the information you need when you need it.

From Phyllis Jones of The Episcopal Church Foundation's Vestry Papers:

One very good resource to help you learn QuickBooks is Lisa London's book, "QuickBooks for Churches and Other Religious Organizations." Check out two tools from that book which Lisa has recorded on YouTube: Using QuickBooks for Churches and Donor Thank-You's in QuickBooks.

I have a bit of a confession. Even though I'm a CPA, I hate the bookkeeping side of the work. And when you dislike doing something, you learn ways to get it done as quickly and painlessly as possible. Having set up accounting systems for all types of organizations and people from the local Avon representative to churches and nonprofits, to venture capital start ups to Fortune 500 level companies over the years, I've seen what helps, what is overkill, and how to determine exactly what you need. This course will help you reduce the time and effort of booking or I'll give you your money back.

I decided to use my accounting experience with small businesses and nonprofits to translate accounting into English with The Accountant Beside You resources. My books and classes are being used by over 25,000 people and organizations worldwide. Developing online classes seemed the next best way to assist the staffs of small nonprofits, churches, and small business. So here I am. Can't wait to have you in class!
